Family owned and operated since 1965, Kustom Kitchens started as a mobile showroom, which was nothing more than a converted motorhome.

Bennie Friesen had a vision and expert eye when it came to designing a kitchen. He took pride in offering the very best products and service to his customers, and never had a goal to grow the business more than the simple family owned business he created.

After passing down the business to his son, Doug Friesen, the business grew more and more successful. The Central Valley housing market began to grow, and there was an increased demand for custom kitchens and high-quality appliances and designs. Following the family tradition, Doug’s son Preston started working part time while completing his business degree at Fresno State. Quickly Preston began to develop a personal vision of his own for the company his grandfather started. The housing market started to boom they saw an opportunity and began to run the business with growth in mind.

They brought back the mobile showroom and developed the installation side of the business while gaining expertise on all of the aspects of kitchen design and the best quality products on the market. All of this led to Kustom Kitchen’s business doubling year after year. With this growth Preston’s brother Anson joined the family team.
